Where I talk shit about the Emmys and threaten to punch all the things if Peter Dinklage doesn't win.

Yes, he was nominated. Huzzah!

DRAMA

Outstanding Drama Series
Boardwalk Empire

Dexter

Friday Night Lights

Game of Thrones

The Good Wife

Mad Men

- I'd be happy for Good Wife or Friday Night Lights fans if either show won, though I do not watch those shows. Boardwalk Empire bores me but I think it has the best chance, sigh. Dexter's season wasn't that great. I adored Mad Men and would be happy if it wins. Game of Thrones was amazing. But it's fantasy. So it might not win. But it's an HBO production!

Lead Actor, Drama
Steve Buscemi, Boardwalk Empire
Kyle Chandler, Friday Night Lights
Michael C. Hall, Dexter
John Hamm, Mad Men
Hugh Laurie, House
Timothy Olyphant, Justified

- I think this is Buscemi's to lose. I'm happy for Chandler, Hamm, Olyphant, and Hall. I love Hugh Laurie but i've stopped watching House. Man, I need to watch Justified. I want anyone but Buscemi to win. So you know what'll happen.

Lead Actress, Drama
Kathy Bates, Harry's Law
Connie Britton, Friday Night Lights
Mireille Enos, The Killing
Mariska Hargitay, Law & Order: SVU
Julianna Marguiles, The Good Wife
Elisabeth Moss, Mad Men

- Watch Hargitay win this fucking thing. Moss was terrific on Mad Men. I'm not as familiar with the other actresses, though Britton winning would be lovely.

Supporting Actress, Drama
Kelly McDonald, Boardwalk Empire
Christina Hendricks, Mad Men
Michelle Forbes, The Killing
Archie Panjabi, The Good Wife
Margo Martindale, Justified
Christine Baranski, The Good Wife

- Love me some Hendricks. I think they've got some wonderful potential winners here.

Supporting Actor, Drama
John Slattery, Mad Men
Andre Braugher, Men of a Certain Age
Walton Goggins, Justified
Peter Dinklage, Game of Thrones
Josh Charles, The Good Wife
Alan Cumming, The Good Wife

- Sorry guys, I love many of you, but I will not accept anyone but Dinklage winning this one. TEAM DINKLAGE. FOREVER.

COMEDY

Outstanding Comedy Series
The Big Bang Theory
Glee
Modern Family
The Office
Parks & Recreation
30 Rock

- lol Glee. Modern Family will win this one. I need to watch Parks & Rec.

Lead Actress, Comedy
Edie Falco, Nurse Jackie
Tina Fey, 30 Rock
Laura Linney, The Big C
Melissa McCarthy, Mike & Molly
Martha Plimpton, Raising Hope
Amy Poehler, Parks & Recreation

- This is Linney's to lose.

Lead Actor, Comedy
Alec Baldwin, 30 Rock
Louis CK, Louie
Steve Carell, The Office
Johnny Galecki, The Big Bang Theory
Matt LeBlanc, Episodes
Jim Parsons, The Big Bang Theory

- Will Carell finally win here? I have no idea.

Supporting Actress, Comedy
Jane Lynch, Glee
Betty White, Hot in Cleveland
Julie Bowen, Modern Family
Kristen Wiig, Saturday Night Live
Jane Krakowski, 30 Rock
Sofia Vergara, Modern Family

- Hmm. I'm rooting for Vergara. Lynch got screwed with bad, manipulative material this year. UGH, Wiig, GO AWAY.

Supporting Actor, Comedy
Jon Cryer, Two and a Half Men
Chris Colfer, Glee
Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Modern Family
Ed O'Neill, Modern Family
Eric Stonestreet, Modern Family
Ty Burrell, Modern Family

- I'm so happy for Colfer! I don't think he's going to win. This is going to a Modern Family actor. I'd prefer Burrell but O'Neill is likely due to being a vet and never having a shot before.

MINI-SERIES, MOVIE, REALITY TV ETC.

Lead Actress, Mini-series or Movie
Kate Winslet, Mildred Pierce
Elizabeth McGovern, Downton Abbey
Diane Lane, Cinema Verite
Taraji P. Henson, Taken From Me: The Tiffany Rubin Story
Jean Marsh, Upstairs Downstairs

- Winslet, probably. It'll go to an HBO series.

Lead Actor, Mini-series or Movie
Greg Kinnear, The Kennedys
Barry Pepper, The Kennedys
Edgar Ramirez, Carlos
William Hurt, Too Big To Fail
Idris Elba, Luther
Laurence Fishburne, Thurgood

- OH HAI IDRIS ELBA, I DIDN'T SEE YOU NOMINATED HERE! Er, I always favor HBO productions. Not sure who it'll be. Wasn't The Kennedys supposed to be awful?

GUEST ROLES

GUEST ACTOR IN A COMEDY
Idris Elba - "The Big C"
Nathan Lane - "Modern Family"
Zach Galifianakis - "Saturday Night Live"
Justin Timberlake - "Saturday Night Live"
Matt Damon - "30 Rock"
Will Arnett - "30 Rock"

- Wow, congrats everyone, I like you all. I want Elba to win but he probably won't, Lane is the likely winner, Timberlake deserves it but he can be annoying, Damon was great but I'm not sure he'll win it. The only person I'd be disappointed with is Galifianakis only because his SNL episode was weak.

GUEST ACTOR IN A DRAMA
Bruce Dern - "Big Love"
Beau Bridges - "Brothers & Sisters"
Michael J. Fox - "The Good Wife"
Paul McCrane - "Harry's Law"
Jeremy Davies - "Justified"
Robert Morse - "Mad Men"

- No favorite, but if Morse submitted the episode where he delivered the secretary's eulogy ("she was an astronaut") he's got a good shot at winning.

GUEST ACTRESS IN A COMEDY
Kristin Chenoweth - "Glee"
Dot-Marie Jones - "Glee"
Gwyenth Paltrow - "Glee"
Cloris Leachman - "Raising Hope"
Tina Fey - "Saturday Night Live"
Elizabeth Banks - "30 Rock"

- DOT!!!!! OMG. She is MOST deserving, you guys, and a fucking sweetheart to boot. Sadly this award has been Paltrow's since it was announced she was going to be on Glee.

GUEST ACTRESS IN A DRAMA
Mary McDonnell - "The Closer"
Julia Stiles - "Dexter"
Loretta Devine - "Grey's Anatomy"
Randee Heller - "Mad Men"
Cara Buono - "Mad Men"
Joan Cusack - "Shameless"
Alfre Woodard - "True Blood"

- I see you, True Blood, getting an actor nom only because Woodard is a fucking amazing actress, I see you. I have no idea who is the favorite. Surprised to see Buono nominated.

VARIETY SHOWS

VARIETY, MUSIC OR COMEDY PROGRAM
"The Daily Show With Jon Stewart" (Comedy Central)
"The Colbert Report" (Comedy Central)
"Conan" (TBS)
"Late Night With Jimmy Fallon" (NBC)
"Real Time With Bill Maher" (HBO)
"Saturday Night Live" (NBC)

- Anything but Real Time, if only to piss Maher off.

VARIETY, MUSIC OR COMEDY SPECIAL
"Bette Midler: The Showgirl Must Go On" (HBO)
"Wishful Drinking" (HBO)
"The Kennedy Center Honors" (CBS)
"Lady Gaga Presents The Monster Ball Tour At Madison Square Garden" (HBO)
"Pee Wee Herman Show On Broadway" (HBO)

- No idea. I liked Gaga's HBO show a lot and was entertained by Pee Wee.

Tell me your thoughts! I'm laughing at Glee getting zero writing and directing nominations, but so mad at Community always getting the shaft.
