(I say run, but really, I mean drive. I could walk it, but it's kind of a haul of about two miles. Which is an easy enough walk, but not one I want to do with expensive bottles on me.)
So far, I've tried three Lutens and am tempted to get full bottles of each. MKK, I am making due with a larger decant (last night, I decided to use it on my armpits, because what the hell, why not?), Miel du Bois I am still deciding about (I love it, it loves me, but would I wear it?), and Iris Silver Mist, which I tried on my index finger last night and kept sniffing when the overwhelming MKK and wrist-level Bal a Versailles (I will sometimes go heavy-handed for me right before bed) made me want a quick break, is basically the perfect scent for when I don't want to smell like a high-end brothel or an Edwardian adventuress (though I can't see Charley Pollard wearing L'Heure Bleue, honestly--she's more Apres L'Ondee).
Well, time to see how it lasts and add it to the list.
(Iris Silver Mist has Roucel as the nose. I am predictable in some respects.)
(But oh, lord, the iris in this. Much soft. So Roucel. Very Iris. Wow.)
(Heavy iris smells like I want violet scents to smell like, without the soap notes most have, and with a certain weight that they also lack.)
