"no you can't carrry out ninja secret attacks when you're an astronaut..."

Can I say how I am so very excited for the Colbert Report?

I am like, super-excited.

So I see on my flist that there is talk of NaNoWriMo. I tried to do it last year and got INSANELY sick, to the point that I couldn't even think about writing anything.

I'd almost like to do it, but I'm so busy and by the time I get home, I'm just so tired. Meh.

There's no wa I could write at work, that's just not possible. And I'd have to average a large amount - I rarely write in large chunks unless I get mega-inspired. Which is why this has been a fic-less journal for so long, I've just been completely blah about writing.

Which is fantastic since I have all these fic deadlines in November.

But, like, I was looking up some old notes/scenes I wrote for an Original Story and was shocked that it turned out to be seventeen pages worth. Also, I was horrified to realize that I had given a character's backstory relating to New Orleans and made oblique references to "some bad shit going down" - I wrote this about four to five months ago. Ick.

Hell, I still need to reorganize all my Original Story notes. The problem is that I write random little pieces of information (such as, "the bookstore in question would have to have hard wooden lines) crammed in between notes taken during work or just random scribblings.

Plus I have horrific handwriting so it's all a mess. Just a mess and it makes me not even want to bother collecting all of it.

So NaNoWriMo. I'd love to be able to do that sort of thing. Just no way I can, I can barely get two pages done a week on just backstory/notes.
